Reuse: Conference Bag

Boomerang Bags is a grassroots, community driven movement tackling plastic pollution at its source. Volunteers from all walks of life (including CES members!) get together to make re-usable ‘boomerang bags’ using recycled materials, as a means to provide a sustainable alternative to plastic bags. The bags create a platform to start conversations, make friends, up-cycle materials and work towards shifting society’s throw away mentality to a more sustainable revolution of re-use – one community, needle and thread at a time!

Together we link hands globally to create a paradigm shift to a more connected and conscious society. Please note that colours and patterns of fabric vary, as well as the labels.

Recycle: Green Calgary (CES Carbon Offset Initiative)

As part of CES commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability, we ask attendees to consider a small carbon offset contribution that will be donated to a local environmental organization.

Since 1978, Green Calgary has been a leading urban environmental charity supporting Calgarians in living a more sustainable life; helping them take effective environmental action in their homes, work places, schools, and communities. They offer education, training, event greening, and the ecoStore. Green Calgary works with individuals and groups throughout Calgary, to help minimize environmental footprints large and small.
