Message from the organizing committee and co-chairs

We are thrilled to invite you to the Canadian Evaluation Society 2018 Conference!

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the traditional territories of the Blackfoot and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nation. The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.

We hope that our theme, Co-Creation, provides an exciting opportunity for evaluators to explore and challenge our practice. Co-creation is about meaningfully engaging people to create mutually valued outcomes together, collaborating towards a common goal. With this theme, we encourage you all to explore the concept of evaluation without dominion.

We are building what we hope will be a fun, engaging and thoughtful event in Calgary, and a unique post-Conference On the Land learning opportunity in Yellowknife! There’s lots more to come, and we look forward to sharing news and further details until we all meet in Calgary, May 26-29, 2018!

Workshops: May 26, 2018
Conference: May 27-29, 2018
